Are you obliged to wear latex socks and swimming cap in Australian swimming pool?

It's just au question. I heard that australian swimmers must wear latex socks in australian swimming pool. Are you obliged to wear latex socks and swimming cap in Australian swimming pool?
Nuh, you must swim in the nude (but only if you are game)

No truth in that rumour. Or the one I just wrote.

Have you not seen Australian Olympic swimmers on TV - barefeet, bare headed (shorn) or swimming caps?

The water in public pools is usually strongly chlorinated to kill germs and disinfect.

[a thumbs down - someone doesn't have much of a sense of humour]Are you obliged to wear latex socks and swimming cap in Australian swimming pool?
Not true mate. I swim every day and all i wear is my speedos. The girls wear a cap though, but that is for their hair. As for latex socks, it is a claim that is silly. At meets, almost everyone wears a cap, so they go faster.
Yes it is true.

The socks are supposedly to stop the spread of plantar warts, and the cap is to stop the spread of lice.

Same answer as Barry...is true ....

if you want
nope

No mate, but don't forget your ice-skates, your skating outfit, a violin, and of course, one racoon. Otherwise you will not be allowed to enter, and even worse, you will be sent back to that stupid little country where they are not able to speak ozzie correctly.
