Is it safe to use a latex condom with a woman who is allergic to latex?

If she is allergic to latex, she will have a reaction. The severity of which depends on the extent of her allergy. It wouldn't be pleasant either way.





You need to use polyurethane condoms. That would be best. You can get male condoms made out of polyurethane and the female condoms are made of polyurethane.





If you cannot find polyurethane condoms, in a pinch, you can do the following (depending on how severe here allergy is...if it is too severe, this would be too dangerous):


-properly put on a regular latex condom


-roll a lambskin condom over top of the latex condom

Well it depends on how severe her allergy is. Some people with severe allergies have life-threatening reactions to any latex contact. You need to look into all different non-latex options and learn what level of/type of protection they offer.





The other option is to use two condoms (this is the only time to do this, or it severely reduces your protection)--in this case, you would put on the latex condom and then a natural (animal product) condom over, to both have protection from STDs and to protect your partner from latex contact. Whew, and I thought sex wouldn't be this complicated until it comes to viagra and heart conditions ;-)
