My husband and I are both on the heavy side. We are shopping for a new mattress and just heard about the latex. We were ready to buy the memory foam but have seen the latex on sale for much cheaper. Is it worth paying extra for the memory foam? Is it true that memory foam retains heat? Any input is appreciated.Is there a difference between memory and latex foam mattress?
Real all natural latex rubber will cost as much as memory foam and sometimes more. The truth is whether you go with memory foam or all natural latex rubber they are both great products. Both have cheap and expensive versions and great quality and low quality so do your homework.
Memory foam companies have built mattresses to deal with the heat issues, however turning over especially as a bigger couple turning over and feeling trapt can be a big issue.
All natural latex rubber if you are buying the good stuff can last 15-30 years, It is also virtually chemical free and built from sustainable resources and is not petroleum based.
