How do you get acrylic latex paint out of clothes?

I have tried alcohol and goo gone the paint only smeered. How do you get acrylic latex paint out of clothes?
Truth is, if it's dry, you generally can't. You can try paint thinner of some sort, but it likely may damage the clothing, and would make it flammable (so no go for kids clothes, or the dryer!).

If it's wet, keep it wet until it's gone. Soap generally gets most of it out, if not, try turpentine. Tide has some similar advice on their site.

Latex Paint Stains

Latex paint can be really tough to remove once it dries, so try to get to it early. It is water soluble, so if you get to it before it dries you can have some success with just detergent and water.

If there is excess paint, carefully scrape it off with a dull knife. Then blot the stain with a mild detergent (like Dawn) and luke warm water. Then rinse with clean water and repeat the first step if necessary.
